Callie

The next morning, I rise slowly out of sleep, stretching languidly. My body aches in a good way—in a way that brings back memories of the night before. The bed beside me is cold, and when I finally peek an eye open, I confirm that I’m alone. Sun streams in through the yellowed blinds, confirming that I almost definitely missed breakfast.

But I don’t care. I want to be alone right now.

I can’t believe I told Ash that the Misfits are planning something for today, but it felt right. The Angels are completely different from my brother’s club. I saw that yesterday. And I would hate myself if something happened to Max or Lux or Trixie or Willow and I could have stopped it.

Or to Ash, if I’m being completely honest with myself.

Ash, who left me completely satisfied last night. Just thinking about him makes my thighs clench. I’m still half-naked beneath the covers, and I slide my hand over my breasts and stomach, following the path of his lips last night. My fingers dip beneath the waistband of my panties, and I circle my clit, remembering how he did the same. How he teased me. How he drove me insane with pleasure. So insane that I forgot where I was and screamed his name so loud that I probably woke up everyone in the place.

This time, when the orgasm washes over me, I press my face into his pillow, surrounding myself with his scent as I come, grinding the pillowcase with my teeth to keep from calling out for him.

I take a shower, using his soap again, and then get dressed in the same old dirty clothes. I really need to see about someone to wash my laundry. Maybe Lux can help me with that today. I pause as I’m pulling on the t-shirt, smirking at myself. Surprisingly, getting out of here wasn’t my first inclination. Honestly, the thought of staying isn’t as awful as it should be. In fact, I might like it.

Especially if it involves more orgasms.

I stride to the door and twist the knob only to find it locked. Huh. I knock loudly, and when I finally hear someone on the other side, I shout, “Ash, open up. I’m hungry.”

The door opens, but it isn’t Ash. It’s a guy I’ve never seen before, a burly, bearded guy in a Raging Angels cut. There isn’t a patch that gives me any indication as to his identity.

“Where’s Ash?” I ask, taking a step back into the room.

He scowls but doesn’t seem inclined to follow me. “Just because he had you screaming last night doesn’t make that any of your business.”

I want to snap back at him, but I’m too focused on the heat of embarrassment that I’m sure is painting my cheeks and ears pink.

“Here.” He shoves a brown paper bag in my direction.

“What’s this?”

“Lunch.” And then he slams the door shut again behind him.

Tucking a leg under me, I sit on the couch and pull a peanut butter and jelly sandwich from the bag, along with an apple, a yogurt, and a bottle of water.
